About Service Design in Government
Service Design in Government (SDinGov) is a conference aimed at people who manage, design or commission public services across central and local government, health, education, emergency services and civic technology. It draws practitioners, consultants and design agencies working in the public sector.
The programme combines keynote talks with live sessions, interactive group workshops and speaker Q&A, spread across three days. Editions have been held in Edinburgh in recent years, and a separate online strand, SDinGov Virtual, runs alongside the in-person event.
Organised by Software Acumen, the event has run annually since 2013 and is distinctive for its sustained focus on service design within the public sector rather than commercial product work.
