Forward Festival Berlin is a two-day creativity and design festival held at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt, forming part of the wider Forward Festival series that also runs in cities such as Vienna and Frankfurt.
Across three stages the programme features more than fifty speakers drawn from graphic design, typography, illustration, motion design, digital art, photography and branding.
The format combines talks with workshops, interactive sessions and networking, and the festival reports audiences of around 1,500 attendees.
Recent line-ups reflect a focus on visual and applied design practice, alongside emerging themes like the use of AI in creative work.
A Zalando designer reflects on attending Forward Festival in Berlin and the ideas carried back to the team.
